Counterfeit medicines

Counterfeit medicines are the illegal drugs with fake package, ingredients or ingredients not in the specified proportion as specified on the label, imitation, content tampering, lack active ingredients or contain too much active ingredients.
Medical tests reveal that these counterfeit medicines worsen the disease or sometimes make it incurable and therefore dangerous. Such medicines were previously found only in the developing countries but what is alarming, is that, now these have been found in the developed countries like the UK and Canada and in the most authentic supply chain outlets. According to the reports, more than 2000 people around the world die due to these fake medicines every day.
