This one turned out to be d most exciting trips i have ever had.Probably got paid off well for the hectic work i had last week..Lucky me!!!
Left for Gopalaswami hills at an odd timing (2 AM on 18 th July) . By the time we left Bangalore, after having picked up everyone at their respective places( not forgetting to mention the enduring wait for AXA Minakshi) , it was 4 in the morning. Then stopped the mazda at Maddur for a tea break. Then immediately after some time, a breakdown!!! Took more than an hour to be fixed. On the way we munched on the biscuits,Akki Rotti and mixtures.
On the foot of the hills ,the rich yellow color sunflower garden was spread like a yellow carpet on either side of the road which welcomed us to the Gopalaswami Hills. Finally after lots of 'URRS' and 'PURRS' to scare away the cattle, we reached the hills at 11 AM .The higher the hills we were going , it was getting more and more chiller :)
We got down and took lots of snaps. Since visibility was close to zero coz of fog ,we could hardly believe it was 11'o clock ..... It was misty, foggy, raining, cold.I almost felt like i am just under a cloud which is about to burst !! The only feeling i was getting in my mind was "I m Loving It" ,"I m Loving It" and "I m Loving It"........The wait in the queue to the temple was a long endurance, with that funny manager trying to act very smart. But all this was overlooked once i got the glimpse of Lord Krishna :) Again a long photo session with different poses ...lol! Then spent a lot of time enjoying the beauty of the landscape which reminded me of Kannan Devan Ad which used to be telecasted when i was a kid :) Had to forcibly leave this place around 1:45 coz most of us very hungry :( But stopping at the sunflower garden was so much so fun :) Again another round of photo session!!! I sometimes wonder how some people dont get tired of posing to the pics :)
Lunch at a restaurant near Bandipur was mediocre.Had a nice time playing swing for more than half an hour:) Reaching Bandipur we had to wait till 4 PM for the Forest Safari. So just had a look around for some time ,a photo shoot of the girls on the tree , some games and then the much awaited Safari... We could spot only deers, a lemur, a wild hen, a female peacock, 3 Great Indian Gaurs, 3 Sambars, a Kingfisher, a Woodpecker....It was a disappointment for most of us who were expecting of having a look at Tigers, Elephants :( We thought of leaving behind the karadi(Anoop) and the tiger(Ramraj) in Bandipur :D lol!!
Finally we left to Bangalore around 5. Then have no idea wat happened as i fell into deep sleep :P When i got up these people were playing , making lot of noise.I must mention that Paru and Jitu are such a lovely, compatible couple :) On the way had a glimpse at the Mysore Palace :) For dinner stopped at this quite a famous restaurant called Maddur Tiffanys. I must really mention about the yummy Maddur Vada i had there :)
Finally reached home around 1 AM in the morning ...More than 23 hrs of fun and frolic came to an end .....Wish it could go longer!!!
"a lemur, a wild hen, a female peacock, 3 Great Indian Gaurs, 3 Sambars, a Kingfisher, a Woodpecker...."

ReplyDeleteYes. the best memory of the trip remains to be the travel which chaitu and patel slept away happily.. ;)
ReplyDeletefrom where shall i start telling. everything about the trip was amazing... is there a word to describe our feeling when we are walking in between the clouds.. where everything seems to fit so perfectly in place.. where the mist converts into dew drops as we walk into them.. where all your senses are so overwhelmed with a feelings.. i do have a word for such a place.. its heaven. thats what gopalaswami hills was !
Standing at the edge of a cliff i was on top of the world although for a brief moment. i was stunned by the resplendent scene i beheld . i took it all in to remain in my memory for ever..
It is an agony that we got so little time to spend in this extravagant green heaven .. would love to go to places whose beauty would be on par with this place..
and then we went to Bandipur.. hate to spoil the esscence aof my essay by describing our dissapointment.. so i will stop without any description about it .
It was really a good trip. I enjoyed every session of the trip .. @hema.. I didn't sleep when v r playing DC. haha!!. I was d one who tried to explain 'Dhai akshar prem ke' and struggling to say 'ke' by pointing to 'Ku' and asking to compress it and expand.. haha!!!. And before that, the expectations of seeing a tiger or elephant got drenched but i saw them in dreams so closely at that night. hehe!! Ofcourse but tigers head i found it is Ramraj's, bcoz v during the entire trip we were talking abt Ramraj as tiger, isn't it? so I found him as tiger. And the snaps we have taken at Gopalswamy hills, different poses... haha!! Very Gud Very gud.. I never forget and I miss you buddies!!. Keep in touch.
