With the years passing by, the celebrations of Women's Day is getting grander. But how relevant are the celebrations ? There is still a widespread discrimination against women. For instance, I was rejected for the post of a Project Management Officer in my account, in office for the sole reason that i am a female associate. :(
Unless there is an egalitarian feeling , there is no use of these celebrations. Education is a must for all. The war on the baby girl should be stopped. Illegal abortions of baby girls should be abjured.The condition in northern parts of India is worsening. For instance, in Rajasthan, the ratio of women to men is decreasing which is a shocking revelation. Stringent laws should be enforced which we all can reckon on.
The 33% reservation for women in the assembly is a positive move by the Central Government(Hope the bill is passed in the assembly atleast tomorrow). This surely turns out to be a good opportunity for all the women who want to render their service to the society.
I would disagree!! I would say you donno the exact reason for rejection!! And the reason you being a girl has got nothing to do with it!! :)
